高等教育開放資源研究中心
持續推動大規模開放式線上課程（Massive Open Online Course, MOOC）平台發展及課程規劃製作，在 2013 年 10 月建構至今全台灣規模最大、擁有最豐富註冊會員、合作夥伴及 MOOC 延伸計畫的「ewant育網」開放教育平台，以推動開放教育展開更進一步的研究發展工作。
自 2015 年起，實施跨校通識數位課程計畫，並向全球最大半導體廠商與台商提供教育訓練課程；2016 年進一步推動公務員 MOOCs 課程，同時在全國大專院校學生的新生學院計畫中提供課程；2018年開始規劃針對高中生的MOOC專區，其中包含高中自主學習課程、人才培育計畫，並致力於與合作縣市和個別學校建立數位教學專區；2020年則推行暑期線上學院，提供全國大專院校學生於暑假修習通識課程，持續致力於拓展 MOOCs 課程發展的可能性。
截至 2023 年 9 月底， ewant 育網開放教育平台已開授超過 10,000 課次的課程；與超過百個大專院校及機構成為合作夥伴；擁有超過 50 萬的註冊人數，儼然成為臺灣規模最大與最主要的 MOOCs 平台。
Research Center of Higher Educational Resources for Openness
National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU) has always believed that high quality education resources should not be the privilege of a few and should be made available to as many people as possible. Based on this belief, NYCU was the first university to launch Open Course Ware (OCW) website in the Chinese-speaking societies in 2007. Subsequently, NYCU established the first massive open online course (MOOC) platform hosted mainly Chinese-based courses in 2013: “ewant” open education platform (www.ewant.org). Since then, more than 90 top universities from Taiwan and Mainland China have joined the platform and offered over hundreds of courses each year, making “ewant” the most prominent MOOC platform in Taiwan, with a rich membership base, cooperative partners, and extended MOOCs projects. We aim to promote further research and development in open education.
We have been offering educational courses to the world’s largest semiconductor manufacturers and Taiwanese businesses since 2015. Additionally, in 2016, we began providing MOOCs courses to government officials and launched the Freshman Academy program for students in national universities and colleges. In 2018, we started developing the MOOC program for high school students, with a commitment to expanding the capabilities of MOOCs course development.
As of September 2023, we have offered over 10,000 courses, partnered with over a hundred universities and institutions, and has amassed over 500,000 registered users. It has become the largest and most prominent MOOCs platform in Taiwan.
